Passport photo, the right size, from your own phone.
Pick your document, add a photo and mark the top of your head and your chin. Snapsize cuts it to the exact size, checks it against the rules, and makes a file for online forms plus a sheet you print as a normal 4 x 6 photo.

How to take a good one
- Stand in front of a plain, light wall, about half a metre away from it so you don't cast a shadow.
- Face a window. Light from the front, not from above or behind.
- Ask someone to hold the phone at your eye height, about 1 to 1.5 metres away. Use the back camera, not selfie mode.
- Glasses off, mouth closed, eyes open, hair away from your face.
- Leave room above your head and show your shoulders. Snapsize does the cutting.
3 Mark your head
Drag the top line to the very top of your head (hair included) and the bottom line to the bottom of your chin. Drag sideways to centre on your face. Arrow keys work too.

For an online form
A JPEG at the size the form asks for.
To print
A 4 x 6 photo with your photos on it and lines to cut along.
Order it as a normal 4 x 6 (10 x 15 cm) print at any photo counter or kiosk. Choose no cropping / fit if asked, so the size stays exact. Then cut along the grey lines.
